ABOUT ME:
Hello! I'm Michael Bane though most people call me Misha. I am a third-year student at Northeastern University pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. I have also been accepted to Northeastern University's Plus One Masters Program for Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Mechatronics.
My passion for engineering started when I was a little kid. Naturally curious, I was always fascinated by how things are made. From skyscrapers to seashells, from Lego sets to trucks, my ever-present question was "How?". Throughout my college career, I have had many opportunities to apply this question as well as my interests in 3D design and prototyping to various projects. From constructing an autonomous sumo robot as a class project to designing a module of an autonomous underwater vehicle at MIT to producing industry standard Fire Protection System field drawings and material stock lists, I have developed my problem solving, organizational, and innovative skills.
Adopted from Russia when I was about one year old, I have since grown up in the Boston, MA area. Some of my hobbies include reading, completing puzzles, rowing, and playing the traditional Irish button accordion (an instrument I have played since I was 5 years old!
